Our house building saga began way back in July 2006 when we decided to have a pre-house demolition party prior to its real demolition date. We invited friends over to help get the demolition underway, with the thought that people would bring spray paint and some hammers to have a festive evening. We thought we’d be able to save a section of the spray-painted drywall to put in the new house as a memorial. Alas, what we didn’t realize, is just how much pent up aggression many of our female friends had been withholding over the years. While the guys hung out on the front yard, the girls destroyed the inside of the house — some wielding a crowbar in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other. It was frightening! The end result was a bare-bones house with little left to hold it standing. From the outside, it looked like the house had been vandalized:
